How we intend to use sound

For our sound we have designed the movie to work alongside the sound. In the few second fade's between scene's we will have diegetic sound of sirens, gunshots and screams. As most of the movie is based in the protagonists returning memories, there will be lots of diegetic sounds, especially in the bar, with foley sounds from that pub  of people talking. We will have music as diegetic sound from the pub, however no music will fit the rest of the movie.

We will use an non-diegetic eerie sound throughout the film which creates tension in the audience, this will start when we first see Rick (protagonist) tied on his chair and it will intensify throughout each scene until a sudden stop at the end of the grave digging scene. The grave scene will be silent other than the eerie sound and sound effect of a shovel digging into the ground.

We will have dialogue in our film in the Pub and the interrogation scenes. This will be used to make the audience ask questions on the situation that Rick is in. Sound should always be there and should never be silence in a movie.
